The kids went fishing off the Asean lady yesterday and surprisingly caught a number of fish. (Less than the maids, but it was a decent catch!) Juven & I were a little upset at seeing the little fishies swimming in the blue bucket and resolved that if we are going to allow our children to kill, they are going to have to clean, cook & eat the fish. The crew looked a little horrified when we mentioned that we wanted to eat the fish. At first we thought it was because the waters off Raffles Marina weren't too clean, so they were afraid that we'd get sick, but nah....... it was having to put up with all of us messing up the galley that terrorised them!
My boys were completely useless in the kitchen, but Charlotte was amazing. She held the fish in one hand, a fork in the other and de-scaled the fish! My boys were squirming like girls...... Cleaned and gutted, the fish were steamed and served for dinner! Delicious!
Since we were at the Marina, we took the opportunity to visit some boats...... I told the boys we were going to sail around the world in a boat like this and they were unanimous with the "NOOOOOO"! Gosh they are spoilt! There were some really gorgeous catamarans there though........ Will have to look into this.
Sunset on the Asean lady. Boys wanted to go around the world on the Asean Lady instead! Ya, right! :)

You give Charlotte too much credit. She's actually very terrified of bugs, which I think she learned from me.
I've been reading your blog, not all of it but just the few recent entries, and really enjoying it. Some parts are familiar to me because I have the same feelings, and some parts are just plain funny!
Ignore those detractors of blogging (Craig and Sharon... please stand up!!), don't stop the writing :)
Hi love... sounds like you are very busy and moving forward.. new flat looks great and I love your bed and you're off to Laos and India soon, with the boys?
I'm trying to work out what's going on, being back in Reading is not really where I want to be, but for now, to see everyone and get some money together it works.
I hope to start doing treatments by the end of the week, so that will be great and went to a local Buddhist centre today, so will start some meditation/dharma classes soon and I go back to yoga on Wednesday and visit my cats on Thursday!
I'm looking at a cottage to rent in a village in the country tomorrow.. I went past it today and I really want to live there.. so fingers crossed and with a new moon tomorrow and positive planetary energy.. maybe?
Once I'm settled back into things, then I'll start thinking about flying - I can't wait to get travelling again!
How do I link your site to mine???
Lots of love honey, keep smiling!

How nice that you all managed to eat the fish!!!
I legged it home but ended up not picking Paul cos he arrived early and didn't want to wait for me to drive all the way there. SO I took Ems for a swim just the 2 of us in the end. Wouldn't have been as fun as with the other kids but she enjoyed it anyway :) I am not such a witch of a mother... :(
Oh Peng, you are not a witch of a mother........ you just worry about your girls!! :) Glad she had fun. Waiting for you to organise a swimming play-date at your house now!
